Offensive Implosion

I don't care about playing on the road, a banged up O-Line and a "Backup QB". The Bill are NOT a good team, and to lose to them is a Joke, but also a sign of where this team is... LOOKING AHEAD TO THE BYE WEEK. Why, to get away from the coach, a bad vibe all around and to just run and hide and make the pain go away, MAYBE. ZERO points in the 1st quarter is bad enough but to NOT SCORE the entire 1st HALF, is unacceptable. I don't care if you're playing in the NFL, CFL, College or POP WARNER, if you don't score 21 points or more you are NOT going to win many games. I don't care how good or great a D is, at some point points need to be put on the board. I'm not throwing in the towel but this season is OVER considering what was expected at it's start.

INTs = WIN

In a game with so many turnovers at home to a winless team one would think the score would be more lopsided. A win is a win and I’ll take it, and yes this team is growing and getting better … BUT, once again if this team wants to be where it thought it would be the Offense needs to grow, and quick. Do they make miracle grow for NFL teams? How long can the D be the entire team? I like letting McNair get healthy; the same goes for Ogden as they both will be needed down the stretch. The silver lining that comes from this season, we can really see if Boller will be the NEXT QB here or just a stop gap and the team will have to draft or acquire the next guy. I guess for now we don’t know but it looks like this season is more about a team getting one year older and one year younger at the same time, but not reaching the ultimate goal, at least for now.

Dogged by the Browns

53 pass attempts is way too many for this team. YEAH I KNOW, they were down and throwing to catch up. Valid point, but the running game WAS WORKING EARLY. Yes the game got out of hand but an early drive down the field with the running game gives the team options, options that were taken away with the passing game in full flight. The reason I say full flight is because AIR MCNAIR was sailing every ball. He is HURT still, I give him credit for playing through it but when it hurts the team it’s not good. He knows his body better than anyone and you can’t expect him, as a competitor, to take himself out of the game. That is what the coaches are for and I never thought I’d say this, but they should have played Boller. I’m saying this with NO inside knowledge but I think Billick has lost part or all of his team right now. Can he get them back? Only time will tell.
