The Final Countdown

Well here we are, the final week of the season, a season that by all accounts was a disappointment. A disappointment in the standings, for the fans, in the locker room, front office and really around the league. This Ravens team had such high expectations pre-season & it was all for not. Injuries were a plenty and the mental state of the team was as low as I've seen in a while. I've said it before but I really think Billick lost his team this year and he has gotten bigger than himself. Last week with the game all but over he called two timeouts before the 2 minute warning. The players, coaches and fans from Seattle were beside themselves. Who does Billick think he is, it's almost like he wanted to Rub it in to HIS players that they are losing and are going to lose. Why not let the clock tick down and get the hell out of there. Instead he extended the game for the sake of extending it. Like he wanted to prove a point that it's his show win lose or draw. I just hope if he is back next year, no matter what the players and fans think about this year, we all can put it behind us and start fresh. No reason to let 2007 get in the way of 2008. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and God Bless
