Not Reaching Our (field) Goals
YIKES, I've said this on my college football show on XM & I'll say it here. I don't care what level of football you play, if you don't score 20 points or more you won't win many games. 7 throwaway points clearly is not enough. What a joke, & not because this is Ed Reed's Website am I saying this, 21 points and 7 field goals is a testament to the D. Not every week will the D shutout every team & the Bengals have lots of fire power. After a strong performance on D Monday night, Ed, Ray, Ngata, et al... did a very good job keeping Cinn out of the endzone. More times than not, you hold a team to 21 points... you win. Well NOT on 7 points. I'm no offensive guru & from what I can see neither are any of the Ravens coaches, but come on this is completely unacceptable for a pro team. Knowing some of the players personally I truly feel bad for them. It's not always about the money... it sure helps but they want to win too. This is what they do and winning is the goal. We are fans and yeah we "live & die" with our teams but not like these guys and to have a coaching staff that seems to have NO IDEA how to put points on the board, in a game where you need to have the most points to win, IT HURTS ALL OVER.
