Checking Off, A Lose
Monday night was a Halloween scare just a few days late. It's an oldie but a goodie, " whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game" and that certainly held true for the Ravens on MNF in Pittsburgh. That problem was a product of ONE GAME the weather and is not the overall theme of this team. The larger problem is the QB, O-line and the lack of depth w/ the DB's. 1st, the DB were on 2nd, 3rd & a few times 4th string guys. The O-line is an ok mix of young and old, which means next yr the young guys will be a little more mature and will understand what is needed a little better. As for the Quarterback, the Ravens still have & will have BIG problems for what seems like a long time. Who is waiting in the wings? Here's what I think, McNair will be the backup next yr, Boller the starter and the 3rd string will be someone NOT on the team now. Or McNair retires, Boller starts w/ Troy Smith as a backup and 3rd is a new guy. In either scenario, the new QB is a drafted potential starter after 1 yr or a potential starter we traded for. THE RAVENS ARE IN BAD SHAPE AND NEED A CHANGE NOT JUST AT QB, MAYBE HEAD COACH IS A PLACE TO LOOK.
