2nd & 1???

The story on TV and Radio in week 11 was the field goal that could have been, should have been, & after 10 minutes, WAS. The back story, however, is where this football game was LOST by the Ravens Coaches, NOT the Players, THE COACHES. Throwing everything out the door, the fact of the matter is that the Ravens had the Ball on the 29 in Cleveland territory, 2nd & 1 with 1:03, after the catch from Mason with 1 timeout, they throw, incomplete. 3rd & 1 they throw, incomplete. Then the field goal to take the lead w/ just 31 seconds left. I HAVE AN IDEA, directly after Mason’s 9 yard catch rush to the line and try a RUN for the 1st down. That would have forced the Browns to think about using a timeout as the Ravens would have still had a Timeout for the Game Winning Field Goal. If Baltimore get’s stopped trying to run for the 1st down, on 3rd they then have options. If the Browns don't call a timeout the Ravens can try again to RUSH for a 1st down, w/ a QB sneak or a running play… BURN CLOCK. WORST CASE the clock is down to almost NOTHING; the Ravens can then call their last timeout and kick the field goal ON 4TH DOWN. BACK TO WHAT DID HAPPEN. To make matters WORSE the Coaches decide to KICK a NORMAL kickoff to a guy who has been on FIRE all yr in Cribbs. Are the Ravens coaches that arrogant to think a squibb kick is beneath them? A routine play that EVERY Coach in the NFL and Major College Football utilizes to minimize returns and burn clock. What a JOKE! Cribbs Runs it back 39… 39 YARDS to the 43. Two complete passes, a timeout, a 51 yard field goal & OT…OT where the Ravens lose. If the result of this season is that the coaches get cleaned out of here, at least 2007 was worth something.
